About Me

I am thankful that I love what I do for a living. I grew up in a large, blended family and have always had an interest in peacemaking and in people. I love spending time with my family, working out, beach days and watching movies.

I have been a mental health provider for the school system (as a counselor and as a behaviorist), the military (with active duty service members and their families), community mental health and in private practice. In addition to individual and family counseling, I have facilitated the following groups: grief, anger management, personal growth, divorce/life change, and social skills. I have taught 12 week parenting classes and 26 week domestic violence classes. I currently treat a wide variety of patients, of all ages, for behavioral and relationship issues, anxiety, OCD, phobias, and depression as well as bipolar disorder. I most enjoy helping families solve conflict from a family systems perspective and helping clients overcome anxiety and depression using cognitive behavioral therapy. I have worked in a private practice setting for 1o years and have over 20 years of experience counseling clients of diverse backgrounds, ages and abilities. I feel very confident that we will connect and together make positive changes. I look forward to hearing from you.
